The Early Childhood Investment Team of Hill County invites community members, criminal justice workers, elected officials, healthcare, business and education professionals to a 2-day workshop titled, "Bridges Out of Poverty," on Tuesday, August 5 and 6 in the Havre High School Auditorium. Big Sandy Skate Jam
The Big Sandy Skate Jam and barbecue will take place Saturday August 9th. Start time is noon at the Big Sandy skate park. Join skateboard pro's from the Northwest for a skateboard demo, raffles and barbecue. Bring your board and join in the festivities. 1st Annual MSU Northern Nursing 18 Hole Golf Scramble
The 1st Annual MSU Northern Nursing 18 Hole Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, August 30 at 10:00am at the Beaver Creek Golf Course. The cost is $150 per team of 4, and includes a BBQ lunch, green fees and a novelty prize. Sign up by August 8 to avoid a $20 additional fee. Relay for Life
Relay for Life will be held on August 8-9. A community barbeque will be held beginning at 5pm and the cost is $5 per plate. Opening Ceremonies begin at 6pm with the National Anthem and Survivor Walk. The walk is free to the public and you do not have to be on a team to participate in any of the activities. The lighting of the Luminaries will begin at 10pm and light the track throughout the night. Storytime at the S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market
The Havre-Hill County Library will be having Storytime at the S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market at the Town Square in downtown Havre. Every Saturday starting July 12 through September 20 from 9:00 to 10:30am. Books will be read aloud to children accompanied by an adult with a new book starting every 15 minutes. Story times will be at 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, and 10:15. This is a free event.

Rocky Boy Head Start Accepting Applications
The Rocky Boy Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2014-15 school year. Your child must be 3 years old on or before September 10. Children with a disability have first priority. A complete application consists of the following: income verification, birth certificate, social security card, tribal ID, immunizations, physical and a Medicaid or CHIP card. Riverside Voices
Every Thursday starting June 26 and ending July 31, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center will have Riverside Voices at 7:00pm. It is a lively 45 minute program on the banks of the Missouri. NMHC Childbirth and Parenthood Courses
Northern Montana Health Care is now offering Preparation for Childbirth and Parenthood Courses. Topics covered will include information about normal childbirth, labor coping techniques, comfort measures, relaxation skills and breathing patterns, common labor variations and interventions, breastfeeding, and newborn care. This course is eight hours and offered monthly. The fee for the class is $25 and courses will be held at Northern Montana Hospital.
