Atlatl Competition
The 12th annual Atlatl(at-lattle) competition will be held September 6th and 7th at the Wakpa Chugn Buffalo jump behind the Holiday Village Mall. There is no entry fee and no pre-registration required. There will be five divisions from youth to adult. International Atlatl Association members will be on hand to give free lessons.
Havre Trap Club
The Havre Trap Club will hold a Moonlight Shoot on Saturday, September 13 at 8:00pm at the trap club south of town. Everyone is welcome to come out and shoot.

Shot In the Dark Charity Golf Tournament RESCHEDULED
The Shot In the Dark Charity Parent/Child Scramble Golf Tournament has been rescheduled to Friday, September 5 at Prairie Farms Golf Course. Social hour and Taco Bar begin at 5pm, and golf begins at 6:30pm. $75 per 2-person team. This is a fundraising event for the Wahkpa Chu'gn Buffalo Jump and the H. Earl Clack Museum. Benefit Dinner
There will be a benefit dinner and silent auction for Dan Stratton Saturday August 23rd from 4:00 til 7:00 at the Havre Eagles Club. Dan was recently diagnosed with ALS(Lou Gehrig's Disease) for more information call Stephne at 390-4971
Havre Driver Service
During the 2nd week of September the Havre Driver Service in the Atrium Mall will be closed from September 8 through September 12. The Drivers License Examiner will be in Helena for training.
Havre Youth Hockey Registration
The Havre Youth Hockey registration for kids 4 years of age and up, and any interested adults, will be held on Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11 from 6-8pm at the Havre Ice Dome. For more information, contact Rene (Reen) at 265-4005.

Friday, August 22 - Lego Time

The 7th Annual Havre Wrestling Club 4 Person Scramble Golf Tournament was scheduled for Saturday, August 23 at Prairie Farms Golf Course but has been RESCHEDULED for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13. $75 per player, including green fees, mulligans and lunch. Big Sandy Booster Club Fall Kick-Off
Big Sandy Booster Club Fall Kick-Off will be held on Thursday, August 28 at 6pm in the gym concession area. On the menu will be hamburger, hot dogs, chips, desserts and drinks for $7 per adult, $4 per student and pre-school is free. They will be introducing the volleyball and football players and coaches. Pool Closing for Annual Maintenance
The Havre Community Pool will close at 5 PM Friday August 22nd for annual fall maintenance. The pool will reopen in October for their Fall/Winter Season, date to be announced in the future.

1st Annual MSU Northern Nursing 18 Hole Golf Scramble
The 1st Annual MSU Northern Nursing 18 Hole Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, August 30 at 10:00am at the Beaver Creek Golf Course. The cost is $150 per team of 4, and includes a BBQ lunch, green fees and a novelty prize. Sign up by August 8 to avoid a $20 additional fee. Storytime at the S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market
The Havre-Hill County Library will be having Storytime at the S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market at the Town Square in downtown Havre. Every Saturday starting July 12 through September 20 from 9:00 to 10:30am. Books will be read aloud to children accompanied by an adult with a new book starting every 15 minutes. Story times will be at 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, and 10:15. This is a free event.

Wednesday Family Nights
The public is invited to Wednesday Family Nights at the First Baptist Church. A free dinner is provided each night from 6:00-6:30pm. From 6:30-7:30 adults watch a DVD on the subject Parenting by Design: Intentional Principles. Kids from 5 through teen will have fun singing, watching skits, and playing games, all while learning about God. Nursery is provided for those under 5. Any questions call Kim at 265-6865.

Books and Babies
The Havre-Hill County Library hosts Books and Babies on Wednesdays at 10:15am. This program, where they read books written for a very young audience, is intended to nurture early literacy in babies and toddlers. Fore more information call Lori at 265-2123.
Recycle Plastic
You can recycle your plastic 1's and 2's at Walmart every 3rd Saturday of the month. Plastics must be rinsed. Lids may also be recycled, but need to be removed from bottles. Call Candi at 899-6513 for further information about recycling on the Hi-Line.
Hi-Line Chapter of the Montana Association for the Blind

NMHC Childbirth and Parenthood Courses
Northern Montana Health Care is now offering Preparation for Childbirth and Parenthood Courses. Topics covered will include information about normal childbirth, labor coping techniques, comfort measures, relaxation skills and breathing patterns, common labor variations and interventions, breastfeeding, and newborn care. This course is eight hours and offered monthly. The fee for the class is $25 and courses will be held at Northern Montana Hospital. Lewistown Art Center "Art Works!" Volunteer Group Meetings
